Do we take your dental plan?

Valley View Dental is in-network with most major PPO dental plans, so your plan is likely to work here. HMO and Medicaid plans are not accepted.

Reception will verify your plan and your network status before you come in. You do not have to work it out yourself.

One thing worth knowing before you call. Coverage can vary by your own plan, your employer group and your network agreement, even inside the same insurance company. Some plans are processed through a different network partner than the one printed on your card. That is why we check your plan rather than guess from the name on it.

If you have an HMO or Medicaid plan, we cannot bill it. You are still welcome here as a patient without insurance, and there are named routes below for that.

Valley View Dental cannot bill an HMO or Medicaid plan. You are still welcome here as a patient without insurance, with a senior discount and payment plans available. The routes for patients without insurance are set out further down this page.

What does your dental plan actually pay for?

A dental plan pays a share of your treatment cost, not all of it. That share changes with the type of work. Four parts of your plan decide what is covered and what you pay.

No plan pays for everything. Most PPO plans follow the same four-part shape, though the details differ from plan to plan.

The four parts that decide your bill

Your deductible

The amount you pay yourself before your plan starts paying.

Your annual maximum

The most your plan will pay in a benefit year. After that, the rest is yours.

Your coverage tier

Most plans cover preventive care, basic work and major work at different shares.

Any waiting period

Some plans do not pay for certain treatments until you have held the plan for a set time.

Insurance coverage does not set a specific out-of-pocket cost in advance. Two people with the same carrier can owe different amounts for the same treatment.

How do you find out what you will owe?

Your benefits check is done by our front desk before your appointment, so you know what is covered before any treatment begins. There is no charge for it.

What happens next

Tell us your plan

Book online or call (630) 509-7933 and give us your plan details. Have your insurance card or subscriber details ready, along with your medical insurance information.

We check it, at no charge

The front desk will verify your individual benefits and your network status before your appointment.

You see the number before we start

Our financial coordinators review your options and your written estimate with you before treatment begins. Booking a consultation does not commit you to treatment.

The Valley View Dental team also files your claims on your behalf. You are not left chasing paperwork after your visit.

Want us to check your plan?

The benefits check is free and done before your visit, so you find out what your plan covers without committing to anything.

Book online or call Valley View Dental, and we will run the check at no charge.

What if you do not have dental insurance?

Patients without dental insurance are treated at all three Valley View Dental offices, with a senior discount and payment plans available. You are quoted before treatment, the same as anyone else.

Having no insurance does not change how you are treated here. It changes how you pay, and these are the routes uninsured patients most often use to afford care.

Routes for patients without insurance

Senior discount

Available for patients without insurance.

New patient first visit

A comprehensive exam, full digital x-rays and a professional cleaning in one appointment.

Payment plans

In-house payment plans for qualified patients, alongside three financing partners.

Discounts and offers cannot be combined, and only one discount may be applied per visit.

What will your treatment cost here?

The cost of your treatment is quoted to you in writing after the exam, before anything is booked. You see the number, and how your plan applies to it, before you agree to anything.

The exam comes first, because the plan depends on what we find. You then get a written estimate for the work. Your benefits are applied to that estimate. Nothing is booked until you agree to it.

A consultation does not obligate you to proceed with any treatment. Insurance coverage does not set your out-of-pocket cost in advance. That is why the quote comes after the exam, not over the phone.

No cash price is published here for exams, crowns, implants, full Invisalign, dentures or veneers. Your number comes from your own exam and your own plan. All treatment is subject to clinical assessment, and Valley View Dental decides clinical suitability for any treatment.

Who quotes your case

All under one roof. No referrals needed. 4.9 stars across three offices.

How can you pay for bigger dental work?

Bigger treatments can be paid monthly through Cherry, CareCredit or Lending Club, or through an in-house payment plan. So you can start care without paying the whole amount up front.

These are installments rather than one lump sum. You start treatment now and pay later, over a term the financing partner sets.

Four ways to spread the cost

Cherry

Monthly payment plans on approved credit. No hard credit check is required to apply.

CareCredit

Third-party financing, described on our site as available with low interest and extended terms.

Lending Club

Third-party financing, on the same low interest and extended terms description.

In-house payment plans

For qualified patients.

We also take Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Apple Pay, cash and personal checks.
Two things about approval, so nothing surprises you. 0% APR is available on select Cherry plans for qualified applicants. Approval is required, not all applicants will qualify, and the financing partner sets the terms rather than Valley View Dental.

Why does where you go change what you pay?

The quoted price covers only the stage of treatment that practice can do itself. When the whole case is handled in one place, there is one plan and one set of costs.

A referral means a second appointment somewhere else, a second estimate and a second quote. Valley View Dental has four in-house specialists: Dr. Tarik Patel, a prosthodontist; Dr. Anthony Lotesto, a board-certified oral surgeon; Dr. Fuwad Al-Sabek, an endodontist; and Dr. Chirag Parikh, an orthodontist. No referrals needed.

Use these six questions on any practice you are considering, including this one.

What to ask before you accept any dental quote

What to askValley View DentalWorth asking anywhere
Does the quote cover the whole treatment, or only the first stage?Four specialists work in house, so one plan can cover the whole case.Ask which stages are included, and which get quoted separately later.
If a specialist is needed, is it done here or referred out?Handled here. No referrals needed.Ask where a referral would send you, and who quotes that stage.
Is the estimate given in writing before treatment starts?Yes. The written estimate follows your exam, before anything is booked.Ask for the estimate in writing, not read out over the phone.
Is my insurance verified before the appointment or after? Before. The front desk verifies your benefits and network status ahead of your visit.Ask when the check happens, and whether it costs you anything.
Are payment plans offered, and do they need a hard credit check?Cherry, CareCredit, Lending Club and in-house plans. Applying to Cherry needs no hard credit check.Ask who the financing partner is, and what applying does to your credit.
What happens to the quote if the exam finds something more? All treatment is subject to clinical assessment, and you are told before any work goes ahead.Ask how changes are handled, and whether you approve them first.
