Dr. Hazel Macanip is a dentist at our Romeoville location with twenty four years of experience. She was born in the Philippines and raised in Tinley Park, a southwest suburb of Chicago. Dr. Macanip earned both her Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts and Sciences and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Illinois Chicago. She is Invisalign certified and provides comprehensive care in cosmetic dentistry, clear aligners, root canal therapy, oral surgery, preventive and family dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and CEREC same day crowns.
For more than twenty years at Valley View Dental, she has enjoyed serving the community and building meaningful, long lasting relationships with her patients. Her philosophy is simple. Treat every patient like family. She takes time to understand each person’s needs, concerns, and goals so she can tailor care that feels comfortable, honest, and supportive. She is also mindful of the financial aspect of treatment and ensures that patients understand their options, both clinically and financially.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Macanip recharges by staying active, often with a good treadmill run. Her favorite moments are spent with her husband and their two daughters, whether they are traveling, relaxing at home, or trying new recipes together. A fun fact about her is that she has been married to her high school sweetheart for twenty-one years.
